Describe the jobs you need done and we'll match your needs with our task list. You can add all the tasks you need to your basket, pick a few different availability slots (morning, afternoon or evening), provide your payment details and we'll do the rest.

How does pricing and payment work?

Costs vary based on the type of task, its complexity, and the time expected to complete it. You'll be informed upfront of the cost before the booking is confirmed. You are paying the tradesperson directly to complete the task, not a fixed rate per hour or day.

Do I need to prepare anything for the job?

As soon as your job is accepted, we'll share your contact details with the tradesperson so you can discuss any specifics. They'll let you know if any materials are needed to complete the job. You don't need to provide tools—your tradesperson will arrive with what they need.

What if I need to change or manage my booking?

If no trades are available at your chosen time, we'll offer you alternative options. If none of them work for you, you won't be charged. You can also cancel or reschedule your booking up to 24 hours in advance. Just follow the link in your confirmation email or get in touch if you need help.

What if something goes wrong?

It's rare for our tradespeople not to deliver the quality of work expected, but if it happens, we'll help make it right. Our 6-month guarantee is free, with no excess or hidden charges, and may cover you for sub-standard work up to a maximum value of £1,000. If you're unhappy with the outcome, email us at express@checkatrade.com and we'll support you in resolving the issue.

Who will be completing my job?

We'll send a checked tradesperson who's got the know-how and the kit to get your job done right. All tradespeople go through a background check before joining the platform. All tradespeople meet our standards for skill, reliability and professionalism.

This service is available to homeowners, tenants (with permission), and landlords alike. You can book jobs for your home or a property you manage. We're currently operating in selected areas. If your postcode is eligible, you'll be able to make a booking.
